South Island Distance Education School (SIDES) is a school in the Saanich School District offering distributed learning courses to students from kindergarten to grade 12 in many parts of BC — and overseas. SIDES has been a leader in distributed education since 1988.

Saanich International Student Program (SISP)
SISP
is the Saanich School District’s international student program. The program operates at three high schools in the district: Claremont, Stelly’s and Parkland. The motivated students of these three schools regularly achieve at 10% above the provincial average on Ministry of Education provincial exams. As a result, international students joining SISP receive an outstanding education while they make new friends and experience living on Canada’s beautiful west coast.Distinctive features of SISP include:

  • After-school tutorials
  • TOEFL testing center
  • A life-changing outdoor education program
  • Sports academies (ice hockey, judo, rock climbing)

Camosun College and University of Victoria
Saanich International Student Program has established partnerships with two Victoria post-secondary institutions: Camosun College and the University of Victoria.  International students graduating from a Saanich high school who want to take post-secondary education in Canada are guaranteed placement in either Camosun College or the University of Victoria.
